Need Off-season Info???

Need Off-season Info???

The offseason is a great time for players to work on the parts of their game that needs improvement.  For just about everyone at all ages, the most important thing to work on is skating.  WYH generally feels that regular skill sessions are preferable to a one week camp, however, the camps are great addition to summer training ~  and the kids seem to really enjoy them!

There are a lot of options out there, below are a few that have been recommended to us by WYH families.  Please note that this information will also be available on our website

*******************************************************************************

Sharper edge
Sharper edge has been providing learn to skate instruction as well as skills sessions for our travel teams for several years and are highly recommended for off season training.  The following programs are available at their rink in Concord.

Spring Hockey edge class on Monday and Tuesday that will start at the end of the month (March) and goes till May or June depending on the day.

Summer Monday night program will start the Monday after 4th of July and go till August six weeks with the first Monday of August off.

See their website for more details:

Michal's Hockey Academy
Offer Spring Skills once a week in Natick - Tuesday nights - from 5/17 - 7/21.  Once the ice goes back in at Fessenden we will offer weekly skills from 7/27 - through the end of the summer.  We will also offer three day camps in July and August.  There are also spring tournament teams that you can tryout for.

The Boston Stars
The Boston Stars have been highly recommended by WYH parents.  They have spring and summer skills that focuses on edge work and stick handling. The sessions are 2 hours long once a week usually on Sunday mornings.
